A limited release of architecturally designed homes has launched in Frankton, providing a new entry point into Queenstown’s residential market for owner-occupiers, holiday-home purchasers and investors.
Riverstone Residences comprises a boutique collection of two- and three-bedroom homes at 38 Copper Beech Avenue, within the established Remarkables Park precinct.
Prices start from $865,000. A completed show home is now available to view, with an open day being held on Saturday, 22 August 2026, from 12pm to 2pm at 9 Juniper Place, Frankton.
Bayleys Residential Projects general manager, Gavin Lloyd, says the release comes as Queenstown’s continued expansion places greater emphasis on housing capable of servicing several segments of the market.
“With nearby Kawarau Villas nearing sell-out, Riverstone Residences builds on the strong response to Redwood Group’s previous Frankton development, introducing a new collection of contemporary homes.
“Queenstown’s appeal as a place to live, work, and holiday continues to create sustained demand from a broader purchaser base than many residential markets,” Lloyd says.
“For first-home buyers, Riverstone offers access to new, efficiently designed residences close to employment, education, services, hospitality and some of the country’s most iconic natural attractions.
“Holiday-home owners gain a well-connected Queenstown base, while investors can respond to both long-term housing requirements and the region’s year-round visitor economy.”
Positioned against the Remarkables – Queenstown’s big mountain ski field – homes within the new community feature contemporary open-plan living areas connecting with private landscaped courtyards and generous outdoor spaces.
Interiors combine warm timber finishes, engineered-stone benchtops, tiled splashbacks, European tiles and premium tapware. Double glazing, full insulation and heat pumps have been specified for Queenstown’s alpine climate, while every home includes allocated off-street parking and a 10-Year Master Build Guarantee.
The residences are also suitable for 365-day visitor accommodation, giving purchasers flexibility to adapt their property’s use as personal circumstances, travel patterns or investment strategies change.
“Flexibility has genuine value in Queenstown because property ownership here is rarely confined to a single purpose,” says Bayleys Queenstown’s Eloise Sadie Morris, who is marketing the development alongside colleagues Matthew Lawrence and Blake Glover.
“A residence may begin as a first home, later become a rental investment or provide accommodation for owners during part of the year. Riverstone has been conceived around that reality.”
The project is being undertaken by Redwood Group, which has completed more than $1.5bn in developed projects, with a local portfolio that includes the Coronet Peak Alpine Villas, Central Peaks, Alpine Quarters, The Grove, the Radisson RED hotel and the Queenstown hotel development on Gorge Road.
Sadie Morris says that delivery record is particularly relevant for buyers purchasing before construction is complete.
“Purchasers are paying close attention to the project team and what they have previously delivered. Redwood’s extensive development history and experience in the Queenstown market provides meaningful context for that assessment.”
Riverstone’s Frankton location places residents near cafes, retail, schools and the Queenstown Airport, with convenient access to the wider basin’s employment areas, recreational amenities and ski fields.
“As Queenstown grows well beyond its traditional resort core, Frankton has become increasingly important to how the region functions, bringing housing, transport, commercial activity and community infrastructure together,” Lloyd says.
“Riverstone responds to where Queenstown’s growth is occurring and how people now use property here. It offers contemporary homes at a considered price point, supported by established amenity and the freedom to live in, lease or holiday from the residence.”
Prospective purchasers can tour the furnished show home, review available floorplans and discuss the limited initial release during the Riverstone Residences open day on Saturday 22nd August 2026.
