Reliable Support Block
A well set up 41ha runoff on Jacks Hill Road, Fortrose, currently supporting the neighbouring dairy unit. Easy to medium rolling contour, with approx. 1,200mm rainfall. Subdivided into twelve paddocks, half in short rotation and half in permanent pasture, with 15.35ha of ex-crop paddocks sown back into short-term pasture during 2025.
A roadside lane and central lane give access to all but three paddocks. Predominantly sheep netting fencing, with water supplied from the dairy farm and reticulated to cattle and sheep troughs. Currently wintering over half the dairy herd plus approx. 196 calves, mainly on grass with a paddock and bale feeding system. Two cuts of baleage and one cut of silage made on average.
Good tree shelter throughout, and a large, well-established duck pond with good bird numbers. A versatile block suited to dairy support, grazing or adding to a neighbouring operation.
